Offshore merchant accounts, though very alluring mainly because of it's tax-reducing opportunities, is often associated with high processing fees mainly because you're dealing with foreign banks who have different criteria for charging fees. So, can you put the word free and offshore merchant account in one phrase? Yes. Definitely.

A free offshore merchant account charges:

zero fees for application

zero security deposit

zero fees for payment gateway setup

zero fess for monthly statement generation and sending

zero fees for annual membership

zero fees for overlimits (if you have a high volume business)

But take note, the word free is a relative term. What free means in this context is that you have nothing to pay upon applying for one, nor pay for unnecessary fees. What makes an offshore merchant account free ultimately is that you have less tax or no tax to pay for the reason that the funds are being processed outside U.S. soil. Keep in mind that merchant accounts, be it offshore or domestic, you'll always see a fee or two. If it's TOTALLY FREE, then something's not right.
