Lovers of online gambling have yet scored positive points as the German Appeals court ruled out that banning online gambling is impossible. This ruling comes after overturning a lower court's decision to prohibit an online gambling operator, Bwin, from providing gambling services over the internet to German customers.

The decision brings to mind the efforts to eradicate online gambling. Countries in the European Union have been leaning in erasing the online gambling monopoly and liberalizing the attitude of people towards gambling over the internet. The moral and social responsibility are now being set aside to give way to free trade and smooth business relations.

In spite of efforts to ban or regulate online gambling, a better future is still foreseen for the online gambling community. The U.S. has already made it's intentions of regulating online gambling when they passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act 2006 that prohibits U.S. banks to process funds for online gambling sites. As they say, the more you try to push it away, the more will it come back and become stronger.
