The four main methods are as follows:<br /><br />● <em>Face reading</em> – involves interpreting facial features and then concluding predictions to how the coming years will be like for you. <br />● <em>Kau Cim</em> – this is done by shaking a bamboo cylinder with the predictions taken from the Chinese characters inscribed on one of the sticks inside the cylinder. <br />● <em>Palm reading</em> – the lines and other characteristics of your palms determines what lies ahead. <br />● <em>Zi wei dou shu</em> – consultations are done with an adviser on Chinese calendars. The adviser mixes the astrological five elements (air, water, fire, earth,and wind), and the four pillars of destiny ( year, month, day, and time). <br /><br />The west have its fair share of fortune telling practices which includes the following:<br />● <em>Astromancy </em> - this is often closely associated with astrology but specifically,it aims for more definitive results by interpreting the movements of the sun, moon, and the stars and other heavenly bodies. <br />● <em>Cartomancy</em> – fate is interpreted by reading a deck of of playing cards. The number of hearts, spades, clubs, and diamonds have symbolisms that give the card reader interpretations. <br />● <em>Cheiromancy</em> – another term for palm reading. Readings are derived from various "lines" ("heart line", "life line", etc.) and "mounts" (or bumps) (chirognomy) , purportedly suggest interpretations by their relative sizes, qualities, and intersections. In some traditions, readers also examine characteristics of the fingers, fingernails, fingerprints and palmar skin patterns (dermatoglyphics), skin texture and color, shape of the palm, and flexibility of the hand. <br />● <em>Crystallomancy</em> - you'll see this as the common representation of fortune telling in Hollywood movies. An almost head-size crystal ball is being gently caressed by the fortune teller while saying inaudible prayers. <br />● <em>Tarot card reading </em>- the origins of tarot cards are ancient. When doing tarot card readings, you'll see 21 trump cards, the fool, and an extra face card per suit, in addition to the usual suit (face and pip) cards found in ordinary playing cards. <br /><br /></font></p><h3><font face="tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="2">Battles with the law</font></h3><p align="justify"><font face="tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="2">All countries have their own ways of conceiving fortune telling, some have fortune tellers crowding up at the sides of churches or even have a fortune teller district.
